I was picking up litter on the beach, and I wished there was something I could do to help raise awareness for the environment. I thought of Uncle Sam and his patriotic flair, and decided we needed a character to motivate Americans to take pride in their country. I wondered, since we have an Uncle Sam, can’t we have an Auntie Litter? I later started a non-profit organization to teach children importance of living in a clean and healthy environment through the character, Auntie Litter.
