My aha moment came when I was able to help a woman have a home to raise her children, which was something I never had. My mother was a single parent and unable to afford a home growing up. My business allowed me the opportunity to provide the funding and the volunteers to build a house through Habitat for Humanity. It felt wonderful to be able to give back to the community as people had given to me. I now serve on the board for Habitat for Humanity.
