J.D.:
Her first cousin is a best friend of mine, and one day, he had a suggestion that I should start dating his cousin. We were introduced by him. That was the first time I met Natalie.
Natalie:
And my dad told me to go on a date with him. At first I said, ‘Well, he’s a little bit older than me.’ But I decided maybe I’d try a little date with him. We ended up liking each other a lot.
I fell in love when he visited me in Europe, where I was living a couple of years ago. He got off the plane, from thousands of miles away, and I said, ‘Wow. I want to spend the rest of my life with him. He’s my aha moment.’
That moment was almost surreal. Calming. It felt like a weight lifted from my shoulders.
J.D.:
About a year after we started dating, she and I broke up. I was really heartbroken. I thought, ‘There’s more to she and I than what we’ve experienced so far.’ I realized there was something special between the two of us.
Natalie:
Every time I look at him in the morning. That’s my aha moment too.
J.D.:
Well, I have to add to our aha moment.
[J.D. GETS DOWN ON ONE KNEE]
I want you to marry me.
Natalie:
Baby! What?
J.D.:
Will you marry me?
Natalie:
Yes!
[J.D. & NATALIE ARE KISSING]
Thank you. I love you!
J.D.:
I love you too.
[LOOKS TO THE CAMERA CREW]
That’s my biggest aha moment. I’m ready to spend the rest of my life with this woman.
Natalie:
So am I. With him. An aha moment is this exact moment I have no words to say right now. I’m speechless.
And I was just telling him, like, well, I guess I could wait another six months!
